Role: Project Management Lead
NYCLU.org overhaul
The NYCLU migrated our website – complete with a new visual and verbal identity – in order to better engage with New Yorkers and tell a compelling story about our work advancing civil liberties and rights in New York state.
My vision for the new look and feel of NYCLU.org was to make the intersectional nature of the fight for civil liberties more visually explicit. We established a new organizational framework for our focus areas comprised of four color-coded priority pillars and coordinating subsidiary issues.

From proposal to launch, I led this project for nearly two years, engaging stakeholders within and outside the organization in multiple ideation and feedback sessions. The goal was a powerful, simple, and easy-to-navigate tool with which our supporters could engage. We needed a new resource library that would equip everyday New Yorkers, lawmakers, and change-makers with key resources. We needed the flexibility to build interactive data visualizations, searchable know-your-rights information, and integrated podcasts, all while our digital campaigns could drive site visitors to take action on the issues that impact them.
