Inaction campaign

The NYCLU launched a campaign calling out Albany inaction in the wake of Donald Trump’s election and the destruction his first weeks wrought. The campaign was designed around an open letter to lawmakers signed by more than 125 organizations. Our goal was to increase pressure on Albany to end its inertia, move our bills and others’, and to make us a home for the concern and frustration New Yorkers feel across the state.

I managed the production of the design assets: a full page print ad in the Albany Times Union (the go-to publication for lawmakers and their offices) a series of digital ads on the ATU website. On a parallel track, we launched our own social media campaign, sharing our language and design assets with all 125 organizations to use in tandem. We printed Missing posters that volunteers posted up around Albany, asking if constituents had seen their legislators.
